Students of Deraya Flying School come from all corners of the Indonesian Archipelago and from all around the globe. They do not come exclusively from Jakarta or Solo which are the sites of DFS training and flight training centres, but  several of them come from the islands, for instance Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, Papua, and even from other countries like Myanmar, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, France, etc.

This heterogeneous group allows DFS students to understand the wide range of cultures and backgrounds around them. They develop social awareness and learn to adapt and respect each other. Together they develop solidarity by mixing in local and international cultures, not only with other students but also with instructors and alumnus. As a result of this interaction they mature and develop attributes that transforms them into professional and ethical Pilots.
